As a sunday school teacher, I teach my children 2 things. First is, always sandwich requests in between praise, meaning begin AND end with praise and 2nd is take your right hand with thumb facing you and go from finger to finger in that order to pray. thumb= friends and family, the closest to you. Index= pointer finger, so those who point you and lead you and guide, teachers, parents, ect. Middle finger is the biggest, so the government, the president, governors, etc. The 2nd to last is actually the weakest finger, so pray for the weak, the sick, etc and the pinky is the smallest, least important, yourself. Teaches them to put Jesus first, then others, and lastly themselve. Wrks great for kids, but really, it’s a good guide for ourselves.

I thank you so much Mathew for such a wonderful word of encouragement and you taught me how to spend time with my father. Sometimes out of ignorance i would spend less than ten minutes in my prayer but as of to day i know what to do. Praise be the Lord.
